About
PickResort tracks the 2026–27 ski season across every New England ski area — opening dates, lift ticket prices, and pass deadlines — in New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. Every fact is checked against the resort’s own website and carries the date it was verified. When a resort hasn’t announced its opening day, the page says “unannounced” — it does not guess.
How we verify
Primary sources only. Opening dates, prices, and pass deadlines come from the resort’s own website or by phone — never from another roundup, never from a press aggregator. Every page carries the date it was last verified and links to the sources used.
We sweep the records on a regular cadence through the season, and more often once announcements start landing. We don’t carry dates over from prior seasons — which is how stale information spreads through this whole category. If a date is missing from one of our pages, it means the resort hasn’t announced it, not that we couldn’t be bothered.
Who writes it
PickResort is written and edited by Nick Dube, who also publishes hiking and trail-conditions research at HikerNerd. The two sites overlap more than you’d think — resort skiing and backcountry are neighbors, and in the White Mountains they’re often the same mountain.
